Turn in Texas State permission slips and deposits on Wednesday!

Monday and Tuesday – Mrs. Jett is supposed to be out of town.  Ribbon salespeople get ribbons from Mrs. Beck in the front office.

Monday – Spirit Day – Wear any Purple & Gold

Tuesday – 7^th grade practice after school with Coach Charla and Mrs. Wink

Wednesday – College Shirt Day – Wear College Shirts with jeans.

Wednesday – 8^th grade practice before school

Thursday – 50s/Grease Day!  Wear costumes!  If you don’t have anything; a button up shirt (Dad’s large shirt is good.) with jeans rolled up, ponytail, and scarf is perfect.

Thursday – 8^th Grade Cheering for Game

You will be cheering at the 5:00 game, be at the stadium at 4:40.  If you are helping with equipment, meet at my room at 4:30.  If you are staying after school, you must go to ACE.  You may not roam the building or “hang out” in my classroom. Please send me a text or email if you have a volleyball conflict.

Thursday – 7^th Grade Cheering for Game

You will be cheering at the 6:15 game, be at the stadium at 5:55.  If you are helping with equipment, plan to stay 10 minutes after the game.  If you are staying after school, you must go to ACE.  You may not roam the building or “hang out” in my classroom. ***This is very important!  Please read!  If you are a parent, please make sure your daughter reads this.  Since there is not a class for cheerleading, I don’t see them every day and I cannot get this information to them without parent help.

Special – Since this week’s home games are on Tuesday, practice for this week will be on Thursday afternoon for 7^th grade and Friday morning for 8^th grade!

Monday, Sept. 26 – Spirit Day – Wear any purple and gold or your VB shirts!

Tuesday, Sept. 27 – Crazy Hair Day!  Wear complete Cheer Uniforms to school! Do your hair crazy and be leaders in school spirit!  Try to incorporate your bow into your crazy hair! For the game, all hair must be pulled back and not interfere with cheering or stunting.

Tuesday, Sept. 27 – Games at High School – Both Grades

We will ride the bus together to the high school at 4:30.  (That gives you 45 minutes to eat your snack, and do your homework in ACE.)  Meet at my classroom at 4:30.  We will leave at 4:35.  Both squads will cheer for both games.  The first game starts at 5:15 and the second game starts at 6:30.  If your parents are giving you a ride, please be at the high school stadium at 4:55.  Your parents will need to pick you up after the game from the High School Stadium!  Wear your complete uniform including socks, shoes, and bows.  Let’s look sharp!  You are also required to have a water bottle with you.  (Bring your own in case the water is late, you have some.)  Since you will be cheering for 2 games, you will get a quarter off to visit the concession stand.

If you have any positive referrals, bring them.

Thursday, Sept. 22 – Pro Sports Day

Wear a shirt, jersey, hat, from your favorite pro sports team.  Please borrow from someone if you do not have anything.  We need to be the leaders in Spirit Dress Up days!

Cheerios for September 12-16

If you have not turned in your money or extra Spirit Ribbons from this week (Mustangs are Dynamite), please do so ASAP!

Monday, 9/12: Spirit Day – Wear Purple and Gold of your choice.  If you play volleyball, wear your volleyball shirts.

Monday, 9/12: Spirit Ribbon Sales – Sign Up to sell during your lunch or during Advisory.  If you want to sell some individually, come by my room to pick them up.

Tuesday, 9/13: 7^th grade practice after school (Sign up for ribbon sales)

Wednesday, 9/14: 8^th grade practice before school (Sign up for ribbon sales if any are left)

Thursday, 9/15: Pirate Spirit Day! Wear Full Pirate or partial pirate/partial cheer uniform for the school day!

Thursday, 9/15 – Pep Rally – Pep Rally at 3:00 (You will be let out of class at 2:45).  Wear as much pirate as is safe to cheer with the rest being your cheer uniform.  I will explain at practices on Tuesday and Wednesday.  If you have extra large pirate items, we need to dress Magic as a pirate!

Labor Day Week - First Game!

                7^th grade will Cheer for B team at 5:30 (arrive 20 minutes early)

                8^th grade will Cheer for A team at 7:00 (arrive 20 minutes early)

Friday – Hat Day! Wear a hat!

On Wednesday, if you want to just stay after school, you will need to go to ACE until time to get ready for your game.  ACE will give you a free snack plus time to get your homework done before a possible late night.

A full schedule is coming soon.  Basically, if 7^th grade is playing the home game, 7^th will cheer at A game and 8^th will cheer at B game.  If 8^th grade is playing the home game, 8^th will cheer at A game and 7^th will cheer at B game. Exceptions: 9/27 – both squads will cheer for both games at the HS stadium, 10/13 both squads will cheer (ride a float (if we can find one) in the parade) and come back to finish cheering the last game, 10/27 – both 7^th and 8^th are home so 7^th will  cheer for 7^th A&B and 8^th will cheer for 8^th A&B, 11/1 – both squads will cheer for both games at the HS stadium
